Texas pest control use records (4 TAC §7.144)
In Texas, 4 TAC §7.144 requires a record of every pesticide or device use, kept for 2 years at the business. It lists the customer’s billing name and address, the service address, the pesticide names and EPA registration numbers, total amounts applied, devices and how many, the mix rate and total amount or the percentage of active ingredient, the target pest or purpose, the date, and the name and licence number of everyone applying, supervising or in training.
What every use record must contain
- Customer billing name and address
- Service address where the pesticide or device was used
- Pesticide names and EPA registration numbers
- Total amount of each pesticide applied
- Pest control devices used and how many
- Mixing rate and total amount applied, or the percentage of active ingredient
- Target pest or purpose
- Date of use
- Name and licence number of each person applying, supervising or receiving training
Termite treatments add
- The area treated per application site, in the right unit
- Physical barrier measurements, if used
- For commercial pre-construction treatments: number of tanks, their capacity in gallons, and start and stop times
Where and how long
Records stay at the business location for 2 years and must be shown to the Texas Department of Agriculture on written or verbal request.
How Stampario fills it

- The pest report’s product table has the EPA Reg. #, rate, amount, method and target for each product, and the number fills itself from your product list.
- Devices and counts, the applicator’s licence number and your business licence number are on every report.
- The monthly product-use export gives you every application in one spreadsheet when the department asks.
Common questions
Does the customer need a copy?
The use record is kept by the business. Texas separately requires giving customers the Consumer Information Sheet. The signed service report is the customer’s copy of what was done.
How long do I keep the records?
Two years at the business location. Reports in Stampario are kept by address for much longer.
